Zoom 5551 Configuration

Zoom 5551 Modem Settings

Insert CD. If Autorun is disabled go to Start then Run. Type D:\setup.exe

Click on the ADSL Modem Installation Wizard button.

Select English.

Select Ethernet.

Once the wizard completes and the computer is rebooted, there should be an icon on the desktop labeled, Zoom Web Console.

Ensure the modem is connected to the computer and turned on.

You may need to run winipcfg and release and renew.

Double-click on the Zoom Web Console icon.

Log in to the configuration screen with username admin and password zoomadsl

Bridge Enabled

Click on the Save Changes button.

Click the Advanced Setup button.

Click the NAT button.

Change Dynamic NAPT to Disabled. (or select Disabled from the drop-down menu under NAT.)

Click on the Save Changes button.

Click the Advanced Setup button again.

Click the LAN Settings button.

Uncheck the DHCP Server box. (or select Disabled from the drop-down menu under DHCP Server.)

Click on the Save Changes button.

Click on the Write to Flash and Reboot button.

Click on the Confirm button on the next page.

Once modem has rebooted, click on the Basic Settings and Advanced Settings buttons at the top to verify saved information.

Check the Automatic Reconnect box

Click on the Save Changes button.

Click on the Write to Flash and Reboot button.

Click on the Confirm button on the next page.

Once modem has rebooted, click on the Basic Settings button at the top to verify saved information.

Zoom 5551 Modem Settings – PPoE Router

A.  Set up route in billing with dynamic IP and "x.x.x.x/xx 0.0.0.0" format.

B. Basic Setup - Follow PPPoe settings procedures above.

C. Advanced Setup
1. LAN Settings
a. Set IP address to first usable IP address
b. Set Subnet Mask to subnet mask value
c. Set DHCP server start address to second usable IP
d. Set DHCP server end address to last usable IP
e. Click Save Changes
2. NAT Settings
a. Disable NAT
b. Click Save Changes
3. Admin Password
a. Set admin password to DSL password
b. Click Save Changes
4. Write settings to flash and confirm
