What is SMTP Authentication?

SMTP Authentication is a way for IgLou customers to send their outbound email through IgLou's mail servers, even when they are away from home or connected to the Internet through another Internet Provider.

If you are connecting to the Internet while at work, while traveling, or through any other ISP, SMTP Authentication is required for our mail servers to recognize you as a valid IgLou customer.

Enabling SMTP Authentication is easy and involves nothing more than entering your IgLou username and password into your email software.

IgLou has step-by-step instructions for enabling SMTP Authentication in your mail software.
